Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

Yes! We are appointment only at the moment, due to the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

You will need an appointment for piercings, check-ups, downsizes and jewellery purchases at the moment. We need to limit the number of people in to the studio.

Once we are allowed to re-open you can call either of the studios I work at, The circle or Goodtimes. Or you can email me directly.
Only the one person being pierced will be permitted in to the studio, and will be required to wear a face covering during your appointment.

You must being Photo I.D to your appointment or you will not be able to be pierced.

How old do I need to be to get pierced?

You need to be at least 18 years of age for ANY piercing, however, 16 and 17 year olds may have general ear, nose or lip piercings with parental consent, parents must accompany their child to their appointment and both of you will need to bring a valid form of photo ID.

For nipples, microdermals, surface piercings and genital piercings you must be over 18 years of age. You will still need to bring photo ID, even if you look over 18.

We will not replace your jewellery if you lose it.

What is your refund policy?

All jewellery sales are final as they cannot be resold for hygiene reasons, no refunds are given.

???? Are these complaints procedure ????

All piercings are done in line with your anatomy and will be marked where possible.

If you believe your piercing was performed incorrectly, you are in accordance with your consumer rights, able to notify the studio in writing within 30 days and we will go through all your options.

What is a ‘downsize’? Should I have one?

With any fresh piercing, we install jewellery that’s slightly longer than your anatomy. This extra length allows for swelling, ensuring the jewellery doesn’t embed in the skin after you are pierced. After 4-8 weeks of healing, you may find yourself catching the piercing much more than in previous weeks, this means the jewellery is now too long for your piercing, so you need to downsize the bar so it sits flush against the skin again. You may need to do this more than once during the healing.

Downsizing is important! It ensures that the piercing heals straight. Over time, catching or sleeping in long jewellery may cause the jewellery to migrate, resulting in a wonky piercing.

Do I need to arrange a check-up?

Yes, we are always happy to see you!

We recommend returning to the studio for a check up around 4 weeks. If the swelling has subsided and your jewellery looks too long, we can downsize the jewellery.

You will need to book an appointment for this.

How do I care for my piercing?

Aftercare instructions will be provided in writing at your piercing appointment. You can also have a look here LINK TO AFTERCARE

Healing times will vary depending on the piercing, your lifestyle, and your general health. We recommend cleaning your piercing twice a day with saline solution for the first 2 months, then once a day until fully healed. Try not to sleep on your piercing!

What jewellery do you use?

We only stock internally threaded or threadless jewellery. We pierce with implant grade titanium (ASTM F136 6AI-4V ELI), solid 18kt gold or 14kt gold as these materials are best suited for long-term wear in our bodies for fresh and healed piercings.

We have a vast range of jewellery in a variety of different styles and sizes. Our implant grade titanium range is sourced from Anatometal (USA), Neometal (USA) and Industrial Strength (USA), we also use a Classic certified Titanium made in U.K

We also have a large selection of handmade gold jewellery from Anatometal (USA), Auris (Russia), Junipurr (Canada) and Danila Tarcinale (London).

We are are extremely selective not only with the materials we use but the surface finish and overall craftsmanship of the jewellery too. Whether you opt for a simple titanium item or a solid gold item the overall standard of product we supply does not change.

Can I bring my own Jewellery for you to put in?

Simply put, No!

We need to give your piercing the best possible start and this will require high quality, sterile jewellery.

We will not insert any jewellery bought online or in another studio as we cannot accept responsibility for breakages and we cannot verify the metal quality or hygiene of these items.

This applies to fresh and healed piercings.

Do you do custom orders?
